This lady DeVos made money by privatisation of public schools. Doesn’t know the difference between proficiency and growth. Had to have the VP vote(never happened before) to get confirmed. Is woefully unqualified and over one MILLION educators asked for her NOT to be confirmed. Thinks that grizzly attacks may warrant guns in school. Approved a 13.5 % cut to education funding. She violated federal law. Rolls back on harassment and assault guidelines and adds cross interrogation if victims of sexual harassment/assault. Pushes voucher scheme. And I could go on for a while.

She will donated to pay for ONE scholarship of ONE student. Oh well then, everything is perfectly fine, she clearly cares for the future of this nation, and I wonder how much who appointed her cares.
You do all realize that education is the future of your nation right? So what will it take to get you to hit the streets to protest these willing defrauders of your future?

For as much as you seem to hate DeVos, I’m not seeing any arguments against her positions.

  1. Increased spending hasn’t improved outcomes.

  2. Private schools and homeschooling both provide better outcomes than public schools, and are less expensive.

  3. Having the federal government standardize curriculum for the entire country is inherently unscientific. You need competition in science, education, and the marketplace of ideas.

  4. There’s no reason why schools/states/localities can’t determine harassment and assault guidelines for themselves, ala the 10th Amendment.

Yes. Education is the future of our nation. However, it would behoove you to understand the difference between education and indoctrination. We need to abolish the DoE.
